Nice adaption of the novel, though a bit concerned with the next episode's preview at the end, since Xu Xin never ever doubts Luo Feng no matter what kind of scheme other people people throw at them

what you saw in the preview is out of context but if your shipping those 2, the next 2 episodes might be a bit hard for you.

True, nowadays the previews hints at something but is actually throwing out a red herring
But in the novel Xu Xin being the young lady of her family is used to schemes and plots, so she can easily tell them apart she does marry Luo Feng and have twins, though she does commit suicide due to news of Luo Feng's death, but seeing the huge changes in adapting the novel into donghua it will be interesting to see how they handle it

I don't know if we'll see what you wrote in the spoiler this season because from how it seems, we've only got 26 episodes even though MAL is saying we'll be getting 52 episodes especially since we started on episode 27. Personally, I never did fully understand certain aspects of the Chinese lifestyle and how women are used as tools to further business opportunities and family status until recently. Due to that, it seems like the writer of the novel is using real life situations to draw in the public more, not only to enjoy their work but also to increase sales.

Yup, I agree with you in regards to how women are treated, but it can also be applied to a lot of Asian countries as well, even now in Japan and South Korea, certain rich and upper families would have arrange marriage in order to further their business interests and family status
I enjoyed reading the novel a while back, but then after a certain arc it became a little too much, a lot of authors have a serious lack of understanding distance measurements, time scaling and they usually write about contents or ideas then they forget about them and after hundreds of chapters if we are lucky and if it is still relevant to the novel it is placed back
My issue was we had beasts overrunning Earth due to a virus in the donghua (novel I cant remember) then we had the golden beast that came from outer space, and more alien races, the virus idea was dropped, it grew more fantastical with every arc. But the biggest gripe for me was, how Luo Feng claims he is increasing his powers to protect his family and friends, yet he rarely spends time with them (this is my interpretation) he would come back spend a few days or weeks then disappear for years, decades even centuries, one can say Luo Feng became a monk and had his genitals castrated :P Xu XIn deserved someone better

Who knows. That's what I like when the anime and Manhua differ slightly. You will get some surprises.

For this second season it is doing well with the changes from the novel, only part I dont like it is the where they are dragging the issue of a potential marriage between Xu Xin and Candace, this never happens in the novel, Candace only liked Janet, who in turn liked Luo Feng but I can understand why the studio is doing this, since Janet is a very minor character and it does drive the up hatred rivalry up between Venina Paulinas/Li Yao and Luo Feng, as I mentioned before I hope they dont remove the Australian Life and Death challenge, the fight between Li Yao along with various War Gods against Luo Feng was epic and if Luo Feng does kill Candace in the donghua I will be cheering lol
In regard to the viewers, I mean they do have the right to complain lol, but yes I understand too much nagging is bad (like me saying Peerless Martial Spirit and Wu Shang Shen Di is mediocore) but I just ignore them, most of them are post and scooters anyway, not like they want a serious discussion they just want upvotes or attention
My pet hate is actually when certain viewers (not you) insults other viewers cause they dont agree with their opinion I believe my opinion isnt always right (example I would totally ship Xiao Yan and Nalan Yanran, but that is my choice ) and people will and can disagree with it, people have different tastes afterall lol

A lot of the source material from the novel is being used in the donghua, but there are a massive amount of changes, specific incidences were moved around, probably because of donghua airing time, they were shorten a little or extended but there are a lot of changes (Xu Xin was never in the field where Luo Feng's team rescues her in season 1) after finding out that Luo Feng went to the War God's academy, Xu Xin's grandfather and the Xu Family encouraged her to be with Luo Feng, and her brother actually apologies to Luo Feng, so what is in the novel might not even make it into the donghua
I prefer the donghua (except for how Xu Xin/Luo Feng relationship is treated) over the novel
Although it is hard for me to get used to Soul Land's Oscar voice actor as Luo Feng's voice actor lol

Like that spoiler, I looked and I cant help but think wtf because her brother seems to be an a@@ who looks down on people, like how he was quick to clean his hands after he shook Luo Fengs hand when he first met him and with what seems to be coming in episode 3 next week as it looks like his overstepping his bounds which was hinted in the trailer at the end of episode 2.

I dont mind Mr sausage monopoly being the voice because he does have a young voice and is suited to the characters age. Regarding airing times, I'm sure season 1 was aired on sunday's so I'm curious what we'll see after BTTH season 5 specials end. I'm hoping it'll be martial universe season 3 or quanzhi gaoshou season 3

Her brother is more of a family first kind of guy, he does have Xu Xin's interest at heart although it is more of a status, stability and reputation kind of interest, he only wanted what is best for her, as foolish as he was, they made him out to be more of a hateful guy than in the novel, in the novel he is actually one of Luo Feng's biggest fan and he actually called Xu Xin to make sure the relationship between Luo Feng and her is alright and presses her to marry him as soon as possible
The actual rich villain was the one in season 1, the one who tried to hurt Luo Feng, but the donghua made him out to be so weak and shifted it to the brother
BTTH Yuan Qi (side story of Yao Lao meeting XIao Yan) should be out after the current side story ends
Martial Universe and King's Avatar season 3 should be out soon, if not first quarter of 2022, saw their trailers, looking good
Xue Ying Ling Zhu season 3 is out so that is something to tide me over (same author as this donghua)
And as soon as I finish reading Shen Yi Jiu XiaoJie, I will probably go back and reread Swallowed Star and Fanren again lol

Might be due to the studio is making a lot of other donghua, from what I can see they have like 13 donghua in 2021 compared with 9 in 2020 and 3 in 2019 They might give you a surprise in 2021 :D since it seems to like the words Wan Jie, since it produces a lot of Wan Jie donghua (not related to each other)

I stopped watching Wan Jie Chun Qiu because after the first couple of episodes i lost interest. Wan Jie Shen Zhu.on the other hand I dont even remember why i stopped, i think it was the end of season 1 but not sure.

Wu Shang Shen Di, I would prefer if it wasnt dropped. I wouldnt mind if they alternate between the two but I'm curious to see how the story plays out especially since season 2 started a few weeks ago.

In the novel, Wu Shang Shen Di started pretty well, typical supreme master cultivator reincarnates and starts to strengthen himself after taking over his new body, main character seems upright, avoids female (maids wanted to bath with him and service him, he refuses)
Then for some reason he became horny as anything, harems and all, which is a complete deviation from his previous life and the start of his current life, it gets worse

He gets beaten and needs years to recuperate, each time he either loses his wives to 1. Some young lord takes a fancy to them or 2. Some sect/master takes a fancy to them and wants them to be their disciple and while he is recuperating, he decides to take on more wives, like dont you even care about your other wives?

Would be fine if it occurred once or maybe twice but this happens like every major arc, gets defeated badly and/or loses his wives and I got fed up and decided to drop the novel and the donghua since it follows the novel closely

regarding the spoilers, I haven't seen that happen yet. from what i saw he was engaged to one girl and she was taken after he was beaten. His father comes into the picture and organizes an arranged marriage for him so he ends up with another fiancé. Not sure about that horny part because he had a few chances to release his tension but didn't. The bathing scene you mentioned and the scene where that other teachers pupil that he stripped to heal her was high on a aphrodisiac and ripping off his clothes.

I like that show more because as a teacher he doesnt just abandon the worst students but helps them to achieve the best results they can in a short time whereas if they were learning before he came around, it would have been a miracle for them to improve so much. That in turn leads them to be very loyal to him.

The first fiancee became his first wife, he loses her 3 to 4 times, he doesnt even get to see his son being born (and she was pregnant for 5 years due to her ice phoenix body type)

That girl that was high on aphrodisiac is the one who started his horny journey, the old "he was severely injured and need sex to heal" cliche, she became one of his wives
The new fiancee is also is kidnapped, she is the unicorn guy's sister
I think he ends up with 7 or so wives, one of them was his subordinate in his previous life who always loved him
Yes it is one of the redeeming factors of the donghua that he doesnt abandon his students, his students never gives up on him either and looks for him

Not sure if you've been watching it but from what's happening atm I dont think his obtaining his 1st wife anytime soon. His focused on getting revenge at the moment for what happened to his family which led to him finding his grandfather in the mountain.

Lou Feng made the sacrifice of spending time with his family to get stronger and save the whole planet from being enslaved. it might of taken thousands of years to do but he got it done.

He manages to get Earth back under the control of Earth people and at that point there was no threat to him or Earth yet, he decides to go off and strengthen himself for centuries and offend people, and OH!! I need to strengthen myself again so I can protect my family and friends because I offended more people who can threaten them! Like please Luo Feng, you know about cause and effect right?



I dont disagree with what you say about sacrificing for his family but towards the middle and end, it was, it was all about himself being the number one, taking revenge on those who manages to obtain things he wanted, sure some of those people deserve to die, not denying it, but some of them if you change the boots they are wearing, there isnt much difference, poor guy wanted an item and obtained it by fair means but no~ Luo Feng cant have that, he needs it cause it will compete his set of silver wings



But that is my interpretation of the novel :) you dont have to agree with me, I just felt he was being selfish and dickless with Xu Xin, she sacrificed a lot for his family and did everything she could to be closer to him, while he went off gallivanting across the universe being a hero

I think the finale will be the golden beast attack and season 3 will start with the twins being born and her suicide, it makes sense given the story arks.

We are active, its just that it depends on the show and if I'm honest, Dase has a greater understanding for most donghua's than I do due to reading a lot of novels. I say most because there are some that even she dislikes after reading for a while. If you want to match her knowledge then you'll have to do a lot of reading :P
